eID Implementation on Farm Training

Our first group of producers at the first eID Implementation on Farm Workshop listening to Brooke Sauer from IntellectAg deliver a great overview of the AgTech space.

SheepMetriX were successful in obtaining funding from AgriFutures Australia and have partnered with the Bookham Ag Bureau and the South West Slopes Sheep Breeders Association to deliver a series of workshops to help assist producers with technical support to implement eID technology on farm.

The first workshop (1 of 4) was recently held on the 17th of August, with a total of 16 producers attending. It was an excellent day, and Brooke Sauer from Intellect Ag delivered an engaging presentation about various aspects of the Agtech space.

Brooke challenged the producers to start thinking about how they could digitize their farm and the ways in which this tech-assisted farming would create productivity and efficiency. The producers were given the opportunity to identify what data they currently collect and what data they want or need to collect in the short, medium and long term. This also gave them insight into their current productivity level and helped them identify potential obstacles. Finally, the group was encouraged to create specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and timely (SMART) goals to take the first step towards eID implementation on farm.

Currently, the eID workshop series is fully booked, however if you are interested in implementing eIDs on your farm and want more information, please get in touch with the SheepMetriX team.
