SimpliFly™ is a one-day workshop, to help sheep producers reduce the incidence and impact of flystrike on their flocks.
The workshop covers a range of tools available and how to combine their use to develop a strategic flystrike management plan and annual calendar that incorporates both short- and long-term tools specific to their property.
BredWell FedWell (BWFW) is a practical, one-day introductory workshop on how productivity and profitability can be improved through good breeding and feeding over the livestock production cycle, with a specific focus on profit drivers.
Producers can use the outcomes of the workshop to develop genetics and nutrition regime suited to their environment and markets to boost profitability.
SheepMetrix have developed a one-day eID workshop to provide sheep and goat breeders with the confidence to use eID technology on their farms in an effective and efficient way. A one-on-one session is also available post workshop.
Workshops are currently supported by funding from AgriFutures Australia via their Producer Technology Uptake Program.
SheepMetriX has been running the annual ram breeder workshop since the conclusion of the UNE/MerinoLink DNA Stimulation Project in 2022.
The workshop is designed to mimic the intensive mentoring by a scientists and genetics service providers during the project, providing further opportunities to upskill and network. It has proven very beneficial in the past, impacting breeding value accuracies and introducing breeders to tools that are more productive.
